IPad beat by 7 year old Tablet
on Feb1 2010I love this comparison. This re-enforces my previous article about the IPad. Hope you all enjoy.

on Jul13 10You PC users are incredible. Nobody bought that old tablet, know why? It was before it’s time. The touch screen and interface probably sucked majorly. So glad that the specs were better, but you anti-mac fanboys are essentially flawed in that aspect. You only care about specs. Apple users understand that it’s not about the hardware, it’s about the software. Oh, PS, The iPad DOES have a headphone jack and an audio out, not to mention that apple puts out way better products than HP ever has.

F the iPad. Until it actually runs programs people use for day to day work, what is the point? Watching movies and reading books and D/Ling cool games? Its an oversized Ipod Touch. The iphone is just an iPod touch without a phone.
Is this innovation? ITS FASHION, and you are buying for the label.
7 years is a huge amount of time to develop something BETTER than the HP tablet, and Mac’s iPad (MaxiPad) didn’t do that. I bet the HP tablet actually runs more like a Laptop than the stupid iPad does.
The iPad is another attempt to build the Apple brand, and rake in the dough from the gullible. Think for yourself, not for Steve Jobs.
on Jul14 10The iPad doesn’t have a headphone jack? It’s sound output is mono? Wrong. Is that HP tablet multitouch? No, judging by that stylus. What about thickness? Like a .25″ vs 1.5″? Nice try.
on Jul15 10[...] and criticism when it comes to the iPhone 4 but recently I came across this interesting post on Codewordhank.com which showed in a comparative chart that the iPad was actually inferior to a HP TC 1100. This may [...]
on Jul15 10Again, you failed to get your facts correct about the iPad’s specs regarding SD Card, video out and headphone jack. Also, who wants to have Ethernet or phone cables attached to a tablet when there’s wi-fi and who uses PC cards these days. I owned the TC1100 and it was terrible by comparison. Try running similar iPad 3D capable games on the TC1100 and you’ll quickly learn that 2003 CPUs and GPUs can not compare to 2010 tech.

I can dole out Word, Excel and Powerpoint files from my iPad just like I do from my Windows netbook. I can VPN and RDC my work Windows PCs too.
It’s obvious that neither you nor the author own an iPad, so please do some research before embarrassing yourselves.
on Jul15 10It is thought provoking about Apple not being full of the usualy awesomeness people talk about.
I just shared this with our readers.
on Jul15 10Good job. Post inaccurate information on your site to gain attention.
You are a douchebag. Please jump off the nearest bridge.
on Sep17 10I don’t think the apple fanboys understand the point he was making.. not that the HP tablet was/is 100% technically better than the iPad.. but that after 7 years the iPad isn’t that advanced. Look at a desktop PC 7 years later.. the advances are amazing.. Admittedly I expect with the corrected specs (and adding in Multi-touch and Price point) the differences in the iPads favor will stand out more..
Peace…
on Sep27 10I agree with Gary – the point I got was that the iPad is not a “game changing” concept. As neither an enemy or proponent of Apple, (or Windows, for that matter,) I think it’s more interesting how vitriolic some people have gotten by the suggestion that the iPad is seven year old technology.
Calm down. It’s just a tablet. It isn’t love.
on Nov17 10This is not a product for everyone; however, there is no comparison involving these two devices. My laptop has 2GB or RAM. My old desktop from 2005 had 8GB of RAM. This laptop runs circles around that old computer. Why? Technology advancement. The 1GHz processor in the iPad can perform so many more cycles per second than any HP tablet from 2003. Also, there are several useful applications of the iPad if you are in the correct line of business. I am a photographer and use it daily to take pictures with my D700, show clients my portfolio on the large, gorgeous screen, schedule appointments with the advanced calendar applications available in the App Store…etc, etc. Have your opinions, I dont care. Get your facts straight though.
on Dec21 10Ipad sucks! even an old java cellphone has a cam. Dont waste your money buying a big iphone without cellphone! hhahaha
